Also known as the Flamingo Flower or Boy Flower plants for their distinct and somewhat phallic flower, there are over 700 species of Anthurium.
These guys love bright, indirect light. The lower the light, the less leaves and flowers you will see. But be sure to keep it out of direct rays.
Anthurium like well-drained soil. They're susceptible to root rot so don’t over water. Always check that the top inch of soil has dried out before watering again.
Fertilise every few months with an organic fertiliser and keep white oil on hand for any pesky pests (you can buy these from your local hardware store).
Under watering can cause brown leaf tips while over watering can cause yellow leaf tips.
THESE PLANTS ARE MILDLY TOXIC SO KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CURIOUS CREATURES
